What the flip are you people on about! You are looking at one type of muslims out of 74 sects and are thinking that they are the same as all other muslim sects. When the september 11th attacks happened the leader of my group of Islam was one of the first to condemn them. I sympathised with you for a while there in your hatred for Islam, however in your critique of Christianity you neglect to mention any of the great and manifold positives. Rube: Thank you for your response. However that description of religion doesn't sound like the Christianity I know. Your description of God in your closing paragraph sounds convenient to say the least.

I once attended a debate between Ahmed Deedat and a Christian opponent. Deedat made a claim that basically the Quran was better than the Bible because it only took one man to write it. That mighty superhero Mohammed. And the majority Muslim audience applauded enthusiastically. It didn't occur to Deedat, however, that the number of people that it took to write the New Testament adds weight to what they are collectively testifying.

I guarantee it Rube, the Muslims whose wrath you originally incurred do not mind if Westerners (for want of a better term) cast aside their Bibles and make up their own religion, even if that religion isn't Islam. You see, relativism, pluralism and political correctness are not adequate defenses against a strongly monotheistic cult that is encroaching on your shores through immigration. The Danes, for example, are just beginning to realise this. But it is too late. The leftist (not that I particularly mind left-oriented economic policy for those that are genuinely disadvantaged), and generally undergraduate, university students that have been campaigning for Denmark to pander to the cemetery, swimming pool, hospital and class-room rights (all Shariah style) of the Muslims have sold Denmark irreversably.

Rube, thanks again for your comments. As you have posed your two paragraphs in a slightly different way to each other I will take the liberty to approach them differently myself. To answer the first, as you present challenges along more presuppositionalist lines, I will appeal to the Bible. In the second, as you do not believe in the Divine inspiration of the Bible, I will not hinder you with what you will consider to be tautologies (circular reasoning).

You have asked why the necessity of "having an army of priests...[in bringing] a man closer to God". I, myself, do not come from a Southern Baptist background. However, if you conduct a Google search for "southern baptist priest" you will find that the these terms are not found together in this context. You see, Southern Baptists are correct in believing in the "priesthood of all believers" (1 Peter 2:4-9). It appears that your critique of the Christian religion is flawed in this respect and this causes me to question the depth of your involvement in Christianity as a young person. Perhaps in fairness you were referring to denomination/s other than the one you were brought up in. If that is the case I think you need to approach the discussion with either professed knowledge or professed ignorance. If not, please avoid committing the straw man fallacy, as I have not advocated for some of the aspects of religion that you refer to.

You have also asked why a "a whole library full of rules and regulations brings a man closer to God". Any Christian who advocates such an approach to spirituality is in danger of forgetting Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." This needs to be contrasted against what J.I.Packer calls "easy-believism", which should also be avoided (see James 2:17 then 1:27). I can understand that the Southern Baptists have a reputation for having been legalistic and that is a shame. But the shame can only be commensurate with the proportion to which the reputation is justified.

I will now move to your second paragraph. As neither you nor I come from a Roman Catholic or Muslim background we can dispense with the need to justify the existence of Papal Bulls or Hadiths. Rather, I will address your two-pronged assertion: "(1) God's glory is evident in every sunrise, in every birth, and every shooting star. (2) You say "the Old Testament, and the New Testament... were written by MEN, and not by God." I would firstly like to comment that I am very grateful to God that he would condescend to speak to us through a medium that is understandable, i.e. through our own species, in languages most people can learn and understand. Your appeal to General Revelation to comment on the nature of God involves concepts that are unknowable, unprovable and vague. Special Revelation, however, is more tangible, and though you do not accept it, counts for one piece of evidence (however minor it is to you), rather than zero, and thus is infinitely better. Extra-biblical evidence for the claims of the Bible regarding Jesus Christ are Josephus: Antiquities, XVIII, iii, 3; Babylonian Talmud: Sanhedrin 43a (including appended remarks); Mara bar Serapion: Syriac MS in British Museum. Additional 14.658. If the Bible was not written by men through the inspiration of God, then what was their motivation? Why did the following die for a lie (at least a couple of which wrote New Testament books)?:

Further, if everyone in Jesus' time was expecting a messiah who would come as a king, then where did this completely changed model of the Messiah/Christ come from if it was made up? Were there similar stories floating around the Ancient Near East prior to this event? No. They were recorded as such because they are true.

It also gives a fuller context to Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 (note that the Shrine of the Book contains a full scroll of the Dead Sea Scroll book of Isaiah - negating any possibility of Christians going back and tampering with the text after the event). Not only did he die, but he also rose from the dead on the third day. I worship a risen saviour.

And now two questions for you Rube:

1) You have said "It isn't Christianity that makes a good civilization; it's common morality, dignity, and decency." Please tell me who is the final arbitrator of what is moral, dignified and decent.

Rube, thank you for your response. Regarding who decides what is moral, dignified and decent, I do hope that your optimism continues to work for you in the long term. It does sound chaotic, as you say, and "Anarchy in the UK" was fortunately only a fun song while it lasted and not a political reality.

Just on your last paragraph, it was probably best that you did not respond at all to my question as to why Christ's followers would have died for a lie because you shifted subject away from that issue in your next sentence and for the remainder of the paragraph. On the "crusader" issue, which you brought up and the Muslims, in their glee, still call us to this day (at least in their quotable literature), see Jacques Ellul's "The Subversion of Christianity" where, in his chapter on Islam, he persuasively points out that aggressive Christian expansion never occurred until after they learned such practices from Islam (and then as a sadly mistaken reflex action).

I agree with you totally in that "there's been precious little debate from the muslim side, mainly just a bunch of chest-beating and name-calling. I would gladly give them the ammunition if they'd just stand up and say something halfway intelligent." This is another lie told to intimidate the kafirs. Someone else also noted that there are many sects of Islam. This is true, but 90% of muslims are Sunnis. And most muslims believe that the quran is the word of god, nor written by man. Most muslims are not as liberal in their interpretation of the quran or hadiths as Christians and other religionists are to their respective religions. This makes the religion of Islam inherently more dangerous and imperialistic than other religions, even though all religions are bullshit. If all muslims believed that jihad and dhimmitude are wrong, if all muslims would disbelieve in all of the other bs in the quran and hadiths and sharia, then you might be able to compare them with other religionists. But you can't right now.

I was actually referring to the statement over the summer by the Bali bomber, who said that he didn't care about the many australians and kiwis who got killed, because all white people deserve to die. I don't really remember a lot of muslims gasping in shock at the blatant racism of his statement. That's not an excuse of course, but hopefully it clarifies the meaning of the sentence a little.

I have been thoroughly encouraged by the presence of your website and by the high standard and persuasiveness of your arguments.

The above link (http://www.danielpipes.org/article/450) was something I just found, it relates to the problem of Muslim migration to Denmark. Unfortunately it does not quote some of the letters to newspapers in Denmark itself where the Muslims are already making claims that it is a Muslim country and quite clearly wish to impose Shariah (sp?) law.

It kind of also explains why I stopped voting for leftist parties (in the first of the comments at the bottom of the page (i.e. the one who called himself "another Dane")) . I always used to consider leftist economic policy to be consistent with Jesus' teachings. Particularly those on the sermon on the mount. I also preferred the leftist approach to transport policy, whereby bikes, walking and public transport was well catered for and not just cars, for quality of life and environmentalist reasons. But if the majority of leftist politicians are going to endorse an open slather stream of Muslims (which the left does in my home country, Australia, too) then I will no longer vote that way and now simply vote Christian if there is such a candidate available.

It would appear that the notion that Muslims are terrorists is justified. This is because they behave in the same way in all countries. Groups of people can be judged by consistent patterns that occur and reoccur across a broad spectrum of geographical locations.

It is interesting that, in Australia and many other countries, we are experiencing large numbers of "refugee" migrants. Many of these people are coming from Islamic countries where they have found that system of governance to be too oppressive. They come to Australia (or elsewhere), but then tend to get a bit homesick. But rather than go home, they build mosques on Australian soil, set up Islamic schools and (if African history is to repeat itself) eventually force the native population to become Muslims. So, in short, they forget what it was they were actually running from in the first place and become the oppressors themselves.

As time has passed since september 11th, hatred of muslims in the USA has grown. This is because after that heinous attack on our country, we began trying to find out more about Islam. And what we have found has been very disturbing.

For example, closer scrutiny of Muslim and Arabic publications have lead to the "discovery" that overt hatred of all other religions, racism, intolerance, and a militant belief in extreme violence against "enemies" are the cultural norms of the Muslim world. The NORM, not the "extremist" viewpoint.

At the same time, increased intelligence investigations have revealed how deeply involved muslim governments, religious institutions, and the general population of muslims are in the financing and assisting of terrorists. Many of these who have assisted islamic terrorists have done so while wearing the guise of "friend" or "ally", such as the covert funding of terrorism by our "friends" the Saudis. Other muslims, such as the sheiks who head the madras's and help recruit new terrorists, or the crowds who dance with joy when the "enemy's" children are killed, or horribly crippled, have been anything but covert in their support.

These and other factors have shown many americans that muslims are not to be trusted, and that radical Islam, like Communism, Nazi ism and other past threats to our liberties, must be battled, contained, and then ultimately defeated.

This aim must be a top goal of American foreign policy for the decades to come. To insure success, the USA should team up with other nations who have good reason to oppose this force, including, but not limited to, the nations of Russia, India, Israel and the phillipines. United, the muslim forces can not beat us.

One thing I notice in many of the posts by those claiming to be Muslim is an implicit threat of some sort, that we will "find out" that they are right and we are evil, or that there will be retribution of some sort. Even the "non terrorist" Saba refers to the widespread "anger" this blog is causing among her peers, and it seems to be more of a warning orthreat than anything else.

I think that this reaction is a reflection of the fact that most muslims believe that they are the force of the future, and that their religiously fanatical and hate-filled world view will prevail in time.

It is up to those of us who believe in humanism , progress, individualism, etc. to prove to these violence-prone hate mongering robots that their dream of the future, like the dream held by the Nazis, Communists, etc., will never prevail.

I am Christian by faith but am knowledgeable as to Judaism and the Muslim faith. I cannot reconcile in my head why so many in the Muslim community condone or acquiesce to the militant Muslim portion of their faith. I think most of the militant Muslim activity comes from desperate poverty in many Muslim poverty coupled with a lack of education and personal freedom (most Muslim countries are run in a tyrannical style).

This still really confuses me to think that someone can praise God "God is Great" and then proceed to saw someones head off on video tape. Either these people are being fed a totall "F'd" up version of the Muslim faith or the Muslim faith is warped, depraved, and totally awash with inconsistancies and overt hatred. Most religions of the world give creedence to loving your fellow man. The Muslim faith lately has come to be "Kill your fellow man". What a shame and I am glad to have a personal saviour who honors decency, love, kindness, and repentence.

How right you are, James. I too am proud to be a Christian. At the same time, it is vital to respect all religions, and even non religions, as long as they are peaceful and able to co exist with other belief systems.

The Muslems will coexist peacefully with civilized people, and be elevated to human stature only when they renounce their evil, death-cult religion, and not a moment before. Until then, they will continue to live in their shit-hole li'l-slice-o-hell-on-earth countries, while large numbers of them continue to be consigned to Hell by the REAL God, who is plenty p.o.ed with them right about now.

Just about every (major) religion goes through the stage that Islam is currently going through. Right now, we see somewhat widespread (not absolute, thank God) support for Violent Jihad upon the West in general, particularly against America and Israel. Communism (Statism in general, really), although it usually claims Religion to be a grave defect of society, is often implicated and practiced with intense religious fervor and blind devotion/worship to some Militaresque Maximum Dingaling, and severely punishes those who openly disagree with the State's policies. When the State feels like it, there's often massive persecution of alleged dissidents and minorites of varying degrees (Cultural Revolution, Stalin's Purges, Holocaust). European Socialism appears to be the predictable, nonviolent outgrowth of Marxism/Fascism, just as Christianity has by and large evolved (at least in most of the US) from a collection of religions with a fairly fanatical following to somewhat toned-down shells of their former selves, half the followers not comprehending nor really caring about what they hear in sermons. My generation, for the most part, has abandoned it, even if some do attend on Sundays.

With that said, Islam hasn't been toned down yet; i.e: it still has the spark going, although Western culture is just beginning to "corrupt" it (take a look at Iraq in 20 years, assuming we're successful in quelling the insurgency, and tell me if the culture looks the same as it does now.) Perhaps isolationism would've been better in the long run? We'd keep our jobs instead of selling them to China, and the Mideast would still be a backward mess of sand/cheap housing that's barely concerned with the far-off United States.

What is particularly concerning about Islam is that it can be interpreted in so many ways. There are a large number of muslims that are peacefull and believe that Islam promotes brotherhood. Others believe that Jews are evil and they and all of their sympathyzers should be killed. I believe that there is something inherently wrong with a religion that can be interpreted so differently. When will I know her Prophet? inquired Abu in the lamplit hovel, looking to his daughters room. Very soon, Allah has said it, go know your wife Umm for now, oaf, suggested Muhammad with a smile, opening the door to Ayeshas room.

Surah 118: The Liar

Time passed, and a strengthened Muhammad and his followers left the fertile oasis. The Prophet was joined by his young wife Ayesha and her father, oaf Abu, who left the remainder of his family stranded at the oasis, his wife Umm dying of grief shortly afterward. Not one of the party dared question the vanishing of Khalil, some fearing that they too would vanish, perhaps due to Allahs will or worse. Muhammad told his followers that Khalil was an evil infidel, and had fled because he had coveted Ayesha, the child looking to her husband the Prophet, she and her father knowing he was not telling the truth. Arriving in Medina the following week, the Muslims found friends in this city, delighting in drunken revelry and the favors of veiled, tempting harlots with dark eyes. A lecherous Muhammad, Ayesha and his brother in law Abu took up residence at a fine brothel, the Prophet and the oaf sampling the offerings over many weeks, finding that Medina had the finest of all harlots in the land. Muhammad and the oaf Abu observed the opulence of his residence; Sabri dressed in a fine silk robe with a silk turban, seven rings of gold and silver on his fingers. His wife and the lovely servant girl brought food and a carafe of wine for her husband, they disdainfully looking upon the filthy, debauched Prophet and his henchman Abu. Why will you not submit to Islam, it is the will of Allah, declared the evil Muhammad, looking to Sabri, looking for the chance to end his life. The will of Allah my ass, you Muhammad are a murderous debauched lecher and raper of children. I cant leave, declared a smiling Muhammad, I am serving Great Allah, the Most Merciful Pig. Sabri, confused for a moment, replied, But I thought Allah was the moon goddess of Mecca. Whatever, retorted a shrugging, uncaring Muhammad while picking his nose, he knowing that Allah didnt exist anyway. You are destroying Medina with your vile harlotry and wicked ways! exclaimed Sabri. The Prophet laughed, and replied, Indeed not, Allah is guiding my hand in this and all my actions, providing me and my followers with what we desire: food, fine drink and the company of willing sirens, like your lovely servant girl back there. My servant girl is betrothed to a good man in Mecca, you will not speak ill of her, nor will you covet her favors, declared Sabri, noting Muhammad leering through an open door, ogling the girl and his wife. I will do as I wish, retorted the evil Muhammad with another laugh, reaching into his tattered, filthy robe and producing the garrote, I covet the favors of your servant girl, and will take her to my bed for a concubine on this night. Those such as you will not stop the will of Allah or his Messenger. Abu rose while the Prophet was speaking and smote Sabri upon the face with a closed fist, knocking the silk turban from his head. Muhammad descended upon him like a viper, pulling the garrote tightly around his throat, strangling him in his chair while his wife and servant girl screamed. Be silent women, it is the will of Allah! Muhammad yelled through gritted teeth as he took the life of Sabri. Oaf Abu moved into the room and beat them into submission while a struggling Sabri kicked the wine carafe from the table, it shattering on the floor. Sabris life vanquished, Prophet Muhammad exhaled loudly and let the lifeless body tumble to the floor. The trembling women remained silent as Abu returned to the Prophet with them. Where is your money? asked a greedy Abu of Sabris wife. A box of gold and silver is in our bedroom, answered his tearful wife, almost fainting from Abus foul breath. Ill get it, volunteered a smiling Muhammad, pulling the garrote from the body, Get the rings from his fingers oaf. The Prophet returned with a box of glittering coins, pleased that Allah had provided such bounty for his followers. I cant get the last ring off, complained Abu, having pocketed six others. Cut off his finger to get it, and take his robe and turban too, ordered Muhammad, determined not to leave one valuable item in the house. Abu obeyed, reaching for a knife on the table, slicing off the finger and pulling the ring from it. Arriving at the brothel, the Prophet celebrated his good fortune by knowing Sabris wife and the servant girl, annulling the widows marriage and the girls betrothal in the eyes of Allah. Later that evening Abu was given Sabris widow for a concubine, as he had grown weary of Ayeshas favors, also needing an able slave to cook and serve him. Having to beat her before he knew her, Abu thanked Allah and Muhammad for the welcome gift of Sabris wife.

Surah 120: The Hypocrite

More time passed, with some of Muhammads followers finding the Prophets actions in Medina going against everything he had preached in Mecca, seeing him as Khalil, the rotten toothed man, and the merchant Sabri had seen him: an evil, debauched rapist, pedophile, liar, and murderer. These and other apostate followers were quickly slaughtered as infidels, fulfilling the will of Allah; a smiling Muhammad strangling many of them as they slept. Even Abu began to think that Muhammads wanton depravity may have been going too far when he encountered him in a tent knowing several young Jewish boys that had been taken captive. Prophet, some of the followers are complaining that you are denying them participation in the bounty given us by Allah, and that you are also practicing strange acts that Allah has forbidden to others, related Abu, frowning at the displeasing thought of Muhammad knowing little boys. Bronze implements were seized from every home; plowshares were heated and beaten into fine scimitars for the devoted followers. As his followers labored over hot forges, Muhammad gave a sermon, declaring that vengeance, blood and death would rain down upon Mecca in the name of Allah. The work completed over several days, a feast was held by the warriors of Islam to further strengthen them for the long journey; the flesh of rats, snakes, vultures and jackals gracing their tables. The hungry Prophet had a willing siren prepare his favorite of all dishes, fat dung beetles boiled in seasoned vulture broth. We should give Allah our thanks for the bounty he has provided, declared Muhammad, seated at the head of his table beside Abu, crushing the hard shell of a dung beetle between his filthy brown teeth. All bowed their heads in prayer, thanking Allah for the food he had provided. Would you like to enjoy a tasty dung beetle oaf? asked the Prophet, turning to his brother in law, offering one to him. No thanks, replied a nauseated Abu, choking down a plateful of greasy rat flesh. Washing the unseemly morsels down with strong wine, Muhammad and his followers filled their bellies with the bitter flesh of vermin and then enjoyed the welcome favors of tempting, veiled harlots with dark eyes. The Muslims, their women and their captives set out for Mecca on the following week, determined to exact Allahs revenge on the people who dwelt there. There are many able men in Mecca, much more than we have, observed Abu, realizing their numbers were wanting when compared to the teeming hordes of infidels occupying Mecca. Allah will watch over us oaf, replied Muhammad, a sharp scimitar on his hip, he unsure as to what the outcome would be, but keeping this from the others and preparing for the worst. Surah 121: The Coward

Returning to the oasis to gather strength before attacking Mecca, Muhammad and his followers again feasted on the bitter flesh of vermin and partook of the favors of eager women, the depraved Prophet coming unto the veiled, bare breasted Nubian harlot Sheba. Oaf Abu learned that his wife Umm had died, Muhammad stating to him over strong wine that it was Allahs will. A grieving Abu came unto his new wife, the widow of Sabri, and also knew his daughter Ayesha, fulfilling the will of Allah the Pig. The Holy Prophet also lusted for Abus bride, demanding that he be permitted to lay with her again. A shrugging Abu handed her over, an angry Muhammad having to beat the stiff-necked infidel woman once again before he knew her. The battle is not going very well, observed Abu as the moon rose higher, watching the Muslim army being wiped out. Yes, Allah is displeased that our faith was not strong enough, replied a strangely detached Muhammad, staring from the bluff at the carnage outside the walls of Mecca. That, or we didnt have enough men, I told you, retorted Abu, watching several followers being hacked to death by the defenders. That is possible oaf, admitted Muhammad, Abu frowning at the reply. The captive Fahimah had grown to respect her new husband Abu, as he had prevented the Holy Prophet from striking her outside the walls of Mecca. Making him a meal of jackal flesh soup, she presented it to him in his tent. Thank you woman, Abu replied, taking an earthenware bowl and strong wine, she nodding and leaving him to eat. As Abu was eating, a stir rose in the camp: a lone survivor of the battle having at last caught up to the followers. Putting down his bowl, he left the tent to find the survivor admonishing Muhammad. You coward, he gasped, You left us to die, have you no faith in your visions, or are they only lies coming from your vile mouth? The Prophet, drunk, answered, I had a dream after the battle, it was Allahs will that we were defeated, as it was his will that you survived. We lost because our faith in Allah was not strong enough. You lied, telling us of easy plunder and women; there werent enough of us to take Mecca, 50 score died outside the gates for nothing! the man exclaimed. No matter, have dung beetles and strong wine to renew your strength, slurred Muhammad, picking fleas from his beard and flinging them into a small fire at his side. The man, much too exhausted to argue further, gratefully took a plate of boiled dung beetles and a bottle of wine, trudging off from the deranged Prophet in disgust. A shocked Abu observed this from the shadows and retreated to his tent. Such knowledge set heavy upon him, he meditating privately on the events. Finishing his meal, he called for his wife Fahimah, she appearing before him. I would hear your words wife on this matter: Muhammad preaches Islam, yet he does not follow the words of Allah. He is your Prophet, you have sworn to serve him and Allah, my words are those of an infidel, she answered respectfully. Still I would hear them, for there is wisdom in what you utter, Abu replied. Fahimah, still fearful of her brutal husband, yet bound by her personal honor to obey, told him of her thoughts on the Prophet and his actions. Abu looked at her as she continued, He forces his followers to consume the flesh of vermin, delighting in their disgust. I truly believe him to be so perverted as to rape an infant - he has others carry out his murderous work while he has no courage to fight himself: you should draw a knife across your daughter Ayeshas throat and my own to save us from the corruption of this man. Abu, oaf that he was, looked at her silently as she urged him to destroy the demon Prophet Muhammad, her wise words much harder to ignore than the screechings of his deceased wife Umm.

I am a Jew who believes the world has had enough of islam. We must all join together and fight the muslims. A good way to start would be to train a private army in a remote location, and use fundraising to get weapons and training. I'm sure if we made contacts in the US army we would be all set, and Israeli contacts wouldn't hurt either.

After the army would be trained, of about 10,000 men, we could fight as a raider division in:

1. Iran (with support from US forces in Iraq and in Black Sea bases)
2. Syria and Plaestine (with support from Israel)

In 2001, after September 11th, I worked with a couple of muslims. I knew them well, knew they were good people, and felt bad for them given all the misguided hate that was flying all over the place. When I happened to discuss with them the events that took place on this tragic day, I was shocked when I heard their point of view. They beleived that America was getting too worked up over the terrorist attack, citing that Arabs dealt with this sort of thing all the time.

When did it become a right for anyone to just come to our country and exploit our economy without giving a shit about the well-being of our people? Personally, I think anyone who comes here to study or earn a living needs to get with the program. If not, then get the fuck out, because we don't want you!
